Long Beach Washington Kite Festival 2011

Every third week of August our family has made it a tradition since I was younger than 5 to go to the Kite Festival. 

This years first timers were Mr. Aidan Kriebel and Mr. Kellen Thompson. It's amazing that we all used to fit in the camper with Mom and Dad. And now that all of our families have grown, us kids had to get tent sites with the grandkids getting to stay with Babcia and Dziadzia.

 Johnny and Jon had to work till Friday, so Aidan and I got to drive down Wednesday with Ashley where my parents, Erin, and the kids were there since Monday and Ksavera, Jason, and Kellen came Wednesday night as well.

 Babcia and Dziadzia had great fun gifts for thie kids. Aidan and Caitlyn had a great time in our giant dirt which us grown ups did too! huh Ksavera..or should we call you Sven?!??

The weather was perfect! We all got sun burnt and the beach was perfect for the kites!

 We were all sad Erin and Ashley had to leave Saturday for a wedding. We sure missed them!

Every summer we look forward for to this vacation! We couldn't have asked for better weather.

The best part of the whole weekend, besides great time with the family...was Johnny getting down on his knee at our Friday night bon fire and asking me to marry him! Yup, that's right, the whole family knew this was going to happen and even saw the ring. Next blog will show great pictures that Erin took of the whole fun event. I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with my best friend Johnny Cole Kriebel!

 New Kids on the Block & Backstreet Boys on Tour

I got to go with my Best Friend Cristeena Bailey that I have know since Kindergarten. Our moms tried taking us to the Backstreet Boys when we were in 7th grade but they got sold out....so.... we took a train to Portland and screamed our guts out and sang out hearts out.

ps. who would have known I would have gone back to bangs!

At age 25.....did it all again! Danced, screamed our guts out and sang our hearts out!

Surprisingly I knew alot of the New Kids on the Block Songs....but when the Backstreet Boys came on....I felt like i was 13 again!!! Thanks Cristeena for a great time!

Fusia's and Lavender remind me of Mom's backyard...thank goodness I am able to enjoy these and cannot wait to harvest the Lavender!

4th of July 2011

This Independece Day we got to have Aidan and it was HOT this year! We spent alot of the weekend outside playing in the yard along with a picnic under the trees.

 We decided to stay home this year and play with a few of our own fireworks.

We took Aidan on his first jeep trip with the bikini top. He wanted to go fast....but then it got a little too windy for him :)

 We had fun blowing up our pretties in the back yard.

We raced and burned firework worms that I would remember doing these as kids in our backyard at home with mom and dad hundled around watching these grow being so amazed! I think they are still awesome. 

 Independence Day is never the same without smoke bombs!

Aidan had his awesome Monster truck that screamed, spit fire, rolled over the burnt snakes, and then smoked out of its stacks when it was done.

4th of July was great!!!

Weird to think she was just camping with us in Mandy's belly 5 days before she was born. We are so excited to watch her grow into a beautiful smart woman.

 She is so cute and i am so proud and excited for our good friends Mandy and Ryan. Congratulations Gidley Family! We are so excited for you! I know i will be posting lots of pictures of this cutie pie!

Memorial Day Weekend 2011

FINALLY after all these years the Gidley's have asked us we finally were able to join the tradition of camping at White Pass in Eastern Washington. We are so excited to continue the tradition each year. This was Scout's first camping trip, and to be honest, I was a little nervous on how she would react.

The weekend was Me, Johnny, Scout, Mandy, Ryan, soon to be Aubrey who will be born in three weeks....maybe sooner :), Sammie and Mark, Tyler, Heather and their dog Abby.

 The weather was great, we enjoyed Sun, Snow, Wind, Hail, Scout's Tattoo that started on Scout's butt...then I put on the head of Mandy's chair...and some how ended Mandy's butt. I was nervous...but they all convinced  me to drink the Four Loko (1 1/2)...i was very Four (relly 6) Loko Saturday night...but Negative Four (6) Loko the next day.

 We should be getting more pictures from Sammie since Johnny and I kept our phones in the truck most of the time...it was nice not knowing the time and well...just relaxing. We fished, napping, sat by the fire, snacked, drank, and enjoyed great company of friends.

The picture on the bottom left is now my screen saver at work. Scout did such a great job. We took a lether...but she didn't need it at all. She stayed at eye site the whole time and enjoyed the vacation as well.

Johnny even took a dip in the lake (not by choice)..more picture to come.

My favorite part...hot fire...cold beer...and watching them chop wood!

The count down has begun for next years Memorial Day Tradition!

Scouts Outdoor Home

Johnny and I had a great time builing Scout's home that we designed.

 It sure was a fun project for us two to work on. Scout enjoyed watching us build it. You can see her inside the middle picture.

Her house is made out of cedar, once it was built....then the trick was to move it :)

The top is on hinges so we can open it. I hope she loves it!
