St. Patrick's Day and House Guest

Johnny and I had the pleasure to have a house full with Johnny's mom Marletta, Mitch's wife Haley, and their two sons Auston and Layne.

The night before St. Patrick's Day we made sure that the leprechaun made a visit for the boys.

 Aidan and I picked out these fun hats for us all to wear.
Before bedtime our St. Patrick's Day Party involved the Wii Dance Dance Game...super fun!

 Once the little ones were in bed, Haley and I were able to enjoy our one Green Beer before bedtime.

 The boys enjoyed playing outside with the dogs shooting the trees with their sticks.

 I think we were having so much fun, the bunnies stayed in the other yards, but we got to check them out from a distance.

 I had so much fun having these little guys in our house!

Their young, carefree, energetic, spontaneous, and imaginative minds made an exciting week.

I cannot believe how these last few weeks have flown by!

Scout has grown twice in size and is now 3 months old

I am currently fighting bronchitis while preparing for our 5 guest to arrive this weekend and staying for the week. Mitch's wife Haley, his two son's Austin and Layne, Johnny and Mitch's mom Marletta, and Haley's brother...who i actually don't know his name. While preparing and prepping our house (little OCD on cleanliness) I never thought i would be able to live with hard water...UNTIL....i met IRON OUT and pumis...yes...i am in love. Isle 45 in Home Depot is my favorite isle. I hope next time you visit there....you will check it out. I think the angels sing while sunlight shines down on the entire isle. :)

Last but not least....

Dad, you will be so proud of Johnny...and will stop bugging him about when he will get it...here you go folks... my 1988 high powered hydrostatic drive, two bag, 12 horsepower, 32 inch cutting swath craftsman lawn mower...with lights that even turn on...in case i wanna mow the lawn once it's dark....I won't lie...as soon as we got home i took that baby around the whole house just cruising at the wopping speed of 5 mph with my smile ear to ear. I cannot wait to bust out the i-pod, shorts, and tank top to soak up that sun while making our lawn look beautiful.

Quick info on how we got it. Johnny found it on Craiglist list last night, e-mailed the guy with no response this morning...so i tried to e-mail him and couple hours later he called me saying first come first serve. Good thing i was off work early, i rushed to the bank, got the cash, hurried back to Graham where Mitch met me and took at look at the beast. Mitch noticed something wrong, so the guy asked us to come back within an hour. Johnny and i returned where he had it fixed and knocked the price down with a spare part....

Four Legged Babes

Scout

My Little Miss Scout is growing up too fast for me! Her ears have perked straight up, she's doubled in size, and she is getting smarter each day. I just love coming home from work and when I call her she runs to me with her tail wagging so fast it moves her whole lower half. The thing I love the most is when she puts her ears back. She will only do this for two reasons 1) she is excited to see me and Johnny and 2) she decided to do something she was not supposed to do. She is still small enough to sleep in Fred's HUGE cat carrier at night time(remind you Fred is 18 pounds), and until we feel she is crate trained, she can upgrade to her huge Crate we got her. I am happy to add that she will sleep in her crate all night and not have to wake Johnny or I up to take her outside. She loves her best friend Baily, who is Mitch's dog (Johnny's brother's) they will wrestle, nap, and eat together. I love when she walks me out each morning going to work and she just sits at the gate till she can no longer see me. I especially love when she is in her cuddle mood and she will nap on your chest and tuck her head under your chin. No matter how big she gets, i hope she continues to cuddle with me. I am so happy Johnny and I got her. She's the addition to our household that contributes many fun and loving memories. I cannot wait to see what many, many, many more years of memories she will bring for us.

Fred

Poor Mr Fred...the only male animal in the house has been having a couple bad weeks. We found him pulling out his own fur, so we googled it and monitored it. We tried loving him more, we tried changing the food, we tried ruling out loniless due to the new puppy, allergies, fleas. So after 3 weeks I decided to take him to Value Vet...which was mentioned by my friend Kayla. Value Vet is basically a doc in the box for pets and it's a walk in. We only waited 45 minutes and I got to enjoy looking at all the other cats and dogs coming in. I am definely am taking all my other pets there. They are clean, friendly, and not too expensive. Scout will be the next to go there for her second part of pup vaccines. The doc is thinking allergies that could be from the hew house, food, or other pets. They gave him a steriod injection and we have to give him an antibiotic....which is not going to well. We got off great the first night putting it in wet food, he threw it up that night and learned not to go near wet food. We have found that he does not like, cheese, tuna, milk, and ham. We were able to towel his arms door and toss it in..but that hasn't gone too well. Please keep your fingers crossed. I have not seen any hair or new bold spots on him, so I hope it is just allergies.

We adopting Fred last December from the Humane Society. He was so big when we adopted him, they couldn't get him in one of those "to-go" animal boxes, so they gave us a free crate!

 Fred in his carrier, at 18 pounds, the vet called out, " Feline Fred," and I sure was proud to stand up holding his HUGE crate and walk him to the doc. You can see in the bottom left picture some of his spots where he over grooms himself and pulls the fur out.

Tulip

I just had to add Tulip, she has been sitting on my shoulders this whole time I have been blogging. She sits as if she is a scarf all the way around your neck. You could walk around the house with her just chilling on your shoulders. She is a great cat. I got her from my mom when my mom found her off the streets. She is a polydactyl breed meaning she has 32 toes..and I actually think her last nail trim they said she had more. She is due for another nail appt, so I will get the correct number. She LOVES to cuddle and watching tv, she will sit right on your chest and just "get comfortable."

I am so very thankful to have Fred, Scout, and Tulip. Erin and Ksavera get to blog about their children, and well...right now...these are my babies.

 I am Cocia Hana to a Beautiful niece Caitlyn Leigh Riggs, and my two Handsome nephews Ashton James Dougles Riggs and Kellen Dean Thompson. I sure am honored to be their Cocia and hope to share many memories and teach them many lessons in life.
